I've got a bunch of lovely, dried hollyhock seeds = Zone #5. How and when to plant?
I'm not sure HOW to thank the people that reply so please don't think me rude. I'll say " thanks" now!
Hi, The best time is spring, you can start them indoors. They seem to last a couple years a little longer in warmer areas.
I gathered some seed from a good stand of Hollyhocks growing in the Carson Valley Nevada and planted them in Tahoe at 6800 ft. They grew well, if you have a fairly long growing season, they'll flower the first year. Hope this helps.
