purple asparagus seeds

Please,
inform me how I can collect seeds directly from wild purple asparagus plant...
It isn't like the green asparagus plant....

I have cultivated purple asparagus called "Purple Passion" -- grows purple shoots for harvesting but develops into very tall green fronds.

I collected the berries when they turned bright red and ready to fall off. I tried fermenting off the flesh from the black seeds and simply planting the berries and, in both cases, they germinated well.

I actually have a bunch of babies growing under where the tall fronds had arched over and dropped the berries, so I guess I'll eventually have a larger asparagus patch if I let them grow there. :roll:

Plant the berry now, come spring they will germinate

I just noticed the Seed-grown purple asparagus are up. They were size of toothpicks in 2012 when they germinated. These look like about as thick as the thick part f the plastic knife handle.
