Starting Strawberries

Do I want to start the seedlings in a small (1") pot and then up pot them when they get their first true leaves like I would with tomatoes or peppers? Or do I just start them in a larger pot and then transplant them to the ground when they're big enough?

I have some strawberries started in 200 cell trays, they will be in there for another month and have already been in there for a month. they grow slow at first.

I agree with Soil. The one time I started strawberries from seeds, I used a flat instead of tiny pot. They take a long time to germinate and a long time to get bigger, in my experience.
