BAKED DONUTS, Yeast Rise.

Yeast donuts that are NOT deep fried in oil is something I want to make, when weather gets colder. I want donuts with, no holes, no filling, no sugar glaze. I want to dip them in a bowl of warm chocolate frosting. Maybe have some, sprinkles, nuts or chocolate chips, like the video. A donut with no hole is a Danish.

I used to make baked ones, many years ago, and they were delicious. I'll have check my early books - that's where I had to get the recipes.

I reduced the recipe to make only 4 donuts.
1/ 2 C milk
1 egg beaten
1 T butter melted
1 T sugar
1 t yeast
1/2 t salt
1/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
1 C all purpose flour
Chocolate cake frosting works good.

Empty 3½" food can makes a good donut cutter. Empty medicine bottle is a good hole cutter.

Kneed dough, cut donuts, let them rise. Bake 360°F for 20 minutes.

Low cholesterol, low sugar, low heart attach recipe.
