Edible sprouts

Does anyone sprout grain for consumption?

I have been researching sprouting for animals, called fodder for them and grown for 6-7 days.

All of this research has shown me how the vitamins and minerals are multiplied and made more digestible. I need to sprout and eat sprouts too.

I am thinking, sprouts in salads... maybe even ground up and in bread?

Does anyone do sprouting and have recipes, ideas, and techniques to share and educate us all?

I searched the forum and haven't found this topic anywhere, or overlooked it.

I have better health goals and think, if I want health for my animals by way of sprouting, surely I should do the same for myself.

I get the idea and theory of washing them, then soaking them and letting them grow.. in 3-4 days I harvest it for me.

I wonder if a regular juicer can do wheat grass?

I need input, folks!

Hey Ozark Lady! We have actually been having this discussion over in the organic gardening forum recently! Check it out.

My juicer will do wheat grass; it is not fancy. :) Should say if it'll handle it in the manual.

Thanks sepeters, and I called myself looking.

I must confess I had no idea that sprouting might be in organic gardening!

I found my juicer used, it didn't have a manual and I haven't tried it at all, yet.

I read through the posts there, and I am surprised that more folks didn't respond to the post. Maybe, like me, they missed it?
