CANNED TOMATO SOUP

32 c. (10 qts.) tomato juice
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. canning salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 tsp. onion flakes
4 tsp. parsely

Combine all ingredients and heat. Melt 1 pound butter in saucepan. Remove from heat and add 2 cups of flour with added juice for a smooth blend. Mix into juice, It gets very thick at this point turn down the heat to prevent scorching. stirring as it comes to a boil.
Pour into jars. Process quarts 30 minutes, pints 15 minutes in hot water bath. Makes 20 to 21 pints a recipe.

When you prepare it for dinner add as much milk or cream as you have soup and heat.

Me to and this is the best I ever ate! I have around 20 pints canned and plan on trying to get another 20 put up. The wife opened one tonight while I was at work and she called just to tell me how good it was and she never does that!

Or a nice hot ham and cheese! I always crumble crackers in my tomato soup! Kinda making me wish for colder weather it always makes soup so much better!
