Garden Pizza

I made another 16" garden pizza today, wow nothing better than a fresh home made garden pizza. I make my own crust from the recipe on the Martha White flour bag. Ragu pizza sauce, oregano from the herb garden added. Italian Sausage, pepperonis, smoked provolone cheese, slices of tomatoes, slices of yellow squash, onion, sprinkle of red pepper and a few leaves from my basil plant. Sorry I forgot to take a pic maybe next time.

Sounds worth trying. How long in the oven and at what temperature?

You had me going until the Ragu sauce.

Pizza sauce is very easy to make. I use rutgers tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic sugar and salt. It takes a while to get your recipe down exactly how you like it, but it beats store bought by a mile. My friends still don't believe that I make my own sauce. They complain that I won't tell them where I buy it  , even though I've given them the recipe. I guess they are too lazy to grow the right tomatoes.

You can also make a decent sauce using good quality canned tomatoes like San Marzanos.
