is that normal?

I put in the water the ingrediants. Imeasure ec 1.2. Ph 7.0 so I drop with ph down to 6.0. I put it in my plants. After few hours the ec in my plants is 2.4 an ph 7.2. Is that normal?🤨

I think it is called equilibrium. It sounds like you mixed up the solution and then measured it. You put in the plants and measured it again after a few hours. I suspect your plants were not coming from a balanced hydro system but from a dry tray. The plants absorbed the water from the system so the water became more salty after a few hours because water moves more freely than salt. You would need to add more water to get your e.c. back to about 1.2. Once the plants are fully hydrated, it should not suck up as much water, but there will be some water losses to evaporation and plant transpiration. Salts will also equilibrate and the plant will absorb nutrients as they are needed, which is why you do frequent testing.
