Best style of pipes

Hi, I'm just setting up my hydroponics system and looking at the best style and size of pipe to use. I'm considering round pipes versus rectangular (air conditioning ducts) and looking for advice. Any thoughts on either would be appreciated along with a recommendation for an affordable supplier.
