Hi guys,

we would like to introduce celery inside our greenhouse. We work with nft. Due to limited space we where thinking to place the celery in the same system as the cucumbers already are.

In the same holes as the cucumber roots!

The holes and all spaces are big enough to do so.. in soil those plants work well together.

What are your suggestions ?

The celery wouldnt start its life cycle there but be transplanted once reached sufficent size.

I’m not a hydro user, but based on my very basic knowledge, and general care for cukes and celery, it seems to me they are not good same-system partners.
- cucumber is fruiting vs. celery is Veg growth
- cucumber needs high fruiting light spectrum vs. celery needs less light for veg growth
- cucumber needs heat vs. celery needs moderate temp
- cucumber is a vine vs. celery is short And forms significant diameter cluster of stalks
- cucumber is a vine and has significant aggressive root system vs. celery has a weak inefficient root system
