I was looking around my garden shed and I found and old disused fish tank which I covered in black plastic and put my container on top with 8 cut outs which I have used net pots and hydrolite clay balls.
I have found out that strawberries not not like having wet feet so with a timer I am able to space sufficiently in between watering schedules.
The result has been fantastic, the strawberries have been prolific, and have nearly ended ,however the runners have produced so many new plants that I have potted and been giving away.
I have put some of these into my vertical system and they appear to be well also.
