Yes there is aeration
if it is just sitting in a bucket of water & nutrients, it seems like it would have to be aerated.
Growing in a buchet without aeration is experimental because I noticed that the growth of roots is more good in the upper 1/2 of bottle that is above the level of solution because it is saturated with vapour

Those are tomato plants, which if all goes well will get very big. How long are you thinking you can keep them in the bucket? Have you thought about any supports for the plants?
Growing in a buchet without aeration of solution is under experiment thing.
