my home made hydroponic system

Hello members
I`m Egyptian and interesting in gardening , because hydroponic systems are not available here in Egypt I designed and did a hydroponic system in which I used 20 L (car oil bottle) as a container for the nutrient solution and 2 L (soda water) as a container for the plants , I made 2 groups of the 20L bottles (1) the lower group , (2) the upper group, the bottles of each group are connected to each other by PVC tubes.
The lower group are connected to the upper group by a pump (with valve) which pumps the fluid and air to the upper group (3+4) it needs 13 min. to fill 32 (20L) bottles of the upper group the fluid returns back again by gravitation to the lower group through a tap in this part (5) the fluid is mixed with air , fertilizers and new water and this journey need 167 min. I e the pump works under timer for only 13 min. every 3 hrs .
Please i need your comment.
Thanks to all

I don't know anything about hydroponics (which is why I didn't respond sooner), but your system looks very resourceful and your plants look healthy! Good work!

It looks like your plants are doing wonderfully! Very Impressive.

What kinds of nutrients are you using?

Hello HD

The medium of plant container is 2 parts the lower half is filled with date palm leaf, the upper half is filled with home-made compost ie i put my plant on compost directly when the roots of the plant grows downward to the lower date palm leaf part (spongy innert part) in which it is immersed in nutrient solution composed of 1- extract from compost 2- NPK (2+1+1) 1.5 gm/L
. I spray trace elements every few weeks.
I will send photo to explain my method.

Thank you
Peace

Since you have power out there already for the pump in the system, I'm thinking about a simple table fan, (motor covered or protected for outside), and a bunch of long ribbons tided to the front so they blow out from the front.
Could be on your timer or rigged up to a motion sensor?

Thank you for help. I used cd discs hanged from above , it sways and reflects sun rays in all directions it is very effective but unfortunatly for few weeks.
..............
The timer is on for 13 min every 3 hrs .

Perhaps one small fan that didn't use a lot of electricity could run all the time or maybe on a separate timer set to run when the birds are most prevalent. Just one or two long ribbons tied on the front can make a lot of ruckus and the fan can even be aimed to move those discs around?

I'm very curious to see how your irrigation system develops over the next year. I sense something pretty elaborate and amazing. You definitely have a green thumb.

It looks great. What is your solution made of and how often do you have to change it? Are you not concerned about using oil containers instead of food grade containers?

It is mainly a water extract of home made compost its colour is deep brown also i use chemicals 0.5 gm of ammonim nitrate+0.5 gm potassium sulphat + 0.5 ml of phosphoric acid (sometimes i may add 0.5 gm of urea) for every 1:1.5 liter of water
Till now (5 month) I don't chang the solution.

I agree with you , PVC pipes is also harmfull, every things here(Egypt) are polluted.

I love seeing all these DIY setups! So inventive haha! I found out a way to cheaply automate most of these systems for pretty cheap, considering it cuts your workload in half.

Also I appreciate if someone can guide me to link that mention study or statistics about okra plant yield weight.

Appreciate the kindly help.
