I just made a hydro system all home made. I want to grow tomatos.
I took a clone from one and just put it in the rocks is this right? Also I got 15 micro Tom seeds do I just place them in the rocks to get them to sprout?
I would start the seeds in rock wool cubes.
And for the clone if it has roots it would be good to put the hydroton.
You should make a simple cloner out of a tote and some airstones and water in the bottom.
Or for starting seed you could try root plugs and a propagation tray. The plants need tap roots before putting them into a hydroponics system. The roots need to be long enough to get oxygen and water.
