I am into my third week of growing spacemaster cucumbers indoors and the plant is doing great. Hopefully I will be seeing flowers shorty. . :D

Yes, I put a time lapse video of five days growth on my blog. I tried to post it here, but for some reason the site did not like my video post.. It should be an interesting grow.

Neat.

I would probably add a couple of 23-watt 6500K CFL bulbs until you see flowers, mainly because they will help in leaf production which will in turn provide the energy needed for fruiting.

As soon as my three Swiss Chard and Simpson Elite seedlings get large enough to move, that's my plan. Stick them in an aeroponics system, under a 14-watt, all Blue LED panel, with the CFL bulbs after a while.

I'm looking forward to reading your results!

Happy New Year,

Mike

Mike,

Here is the portion of the spectrum plants use for growth and flowering.

I don't intend to make any changes to my grow, but thanks for the advice.

Hydrogardener,
Looks like you've got some good leaf growth so far. Short internode spacing between those first few leaves as well.
I had a friend grow cucumbers in a hydroponic system not long ago. The plants did fantastic. The only trouble was pollination, but that's not hard to do by hand. More than anything I think it was because he was new to growing and didn't know about the need to help plants pollinate when indoors.

I am now growing parthenocarpic cucumbers that do not need pollination and I will be using a state of the art LED from: https://www.proledsystems.com/

Looking good so far. Five fruit have set.
