Vanilla plant

I just ordered a Vanilla plant and I'm wondering if I can grow it hydroponically?

Although I've never grown them, vanilla is a vining kind of orchid so I would think it wouldn't need much in the way of deep watering at all. More like regular misting?

I've always wanted one if I ever got a heated greenhouse, and pictured it trained against the wall or climbing a tropical rainforest type tree, regularly misted with automatic timer.

Yeah I was thinking about getting one of those reptile misters for it, or I might just manually mist it since I love spraying stuff with a spray bottle lol. I mist my dwarf citrus trees a lot too. I'm still trying to figure out where I will have it vine. I'm a crafty person so I might come up with something neat.
