Are you trying to grow it as a rooted plant? If so, that is wrong. The plant prefers to be grown as a floating plant. Not sure what you are doing wrong. The plant should be growing like a weed.

I was free floating it in a goldfish tank. With no lighting. Which could have been the problem. I'm going too try a kiddy pool outside with some.

Yeah it needs some decent lighting. I also do not recommend putting anacharis with goldfish because goldfish love to eat it.

Anacharis and goldfish don't go together.

This plant is a crazy grower bu requires light. What temperature is the water you're keeping this plant in? If it's too hot, it will melt. If there is insufficient fert, it will wither away.
