Help indoor bonsai plant has white fuzz on soil.

I need help my indoor bonsai it has white fuzz on soil and at start of trunk. I used a bonsai fertilizer for the first time a month ago. I water my plants ever Sunday by using 5 ice cubes. That is what the store I bought it at had told me to do. I want to save my plant if it's in trouble.

Usually it means the soil is too wet or the roots are in trouble.

I think the five ice cubes was bad advice. It seems like the ice cubes would sit there and keep the soil moist for a pretty long time.

Here's a bonsai tips thread with information about how to water. viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1479

The mold/fungus is a sign the soil is staying too wet, too much of the time.

Incidentally your bonsai is a ginseng ficus tree. You didn't show the top of it. Does it have any leaves?
