Any Experience with LED Lighting?

I'm thinking about switching, over time, to LED from compact Fluorescent and would like some
information on what your experiences have been with this type of lighting.
I will be replacing my squiggly CF bulbs with standard socket LED bulbs and am not sure if the color
temps. are varied enough for my broad leaf plants, and succulent bonsai.
Any help would be appreciated.

Am pretty much new to this, and I chose my screed name carefully.

I have 30 strawberry plants I started rooting 31OCT (6 of which I may not survive form a stupid and hasty choice I made).

I have them under 16 hours of LED "Day Light" bulbs and they seem to be doing fine, foliage is nice and green and they rooting into the mix I have well. 3 LED bulbs were $9. I am running two of them for a total draw of 20 watts, which is nothing for power consumption.

Still have the plants under under 16 hours of those bulbs a day.
Lost one plant due to not paying attention early on
Other 5 wounded plants seem to be healing for the most part (not sure how many are going to survive)
Most of the other 24 plants are now starting to push up new foliage.
