I recently received a new chinese elm. For the most part it looks in good condition, but at the ends of some branches the leaves are beginning to turn a reddish brown. Does anyone know what this would be an indicator of and what I can do to improve its health. I'm keeping it indoors under a stark white cfg bulb, meant for plants, and watering it when the soil begins to go dry a half inch below the surface or so.

Although Chinese elms can be grown indoors, it should be outdoors. Leaves should not be turning red until fall/winter. Can you post a picture??? Might be too much water. Also, even though you have grow lights air conditioners can dry out trees very fast. Too much water can make Chinese elm leaves turn yellow.
