Juniper Dormancy

Hey Guys new to the forum great info here. So I recently got a beautiful custom waterfall with a live juniper bonsai tree. I live in NY and was reading about dormancy. My first question being its January is it to late to start the dormant cycle? Ive read you should start in November? Second since I really wouldn't want to leave fountain outside could I put in an unheated room? How much sun and water does it need? Thanks for all your help in advance

Juniper is a hearty temperate tree. it needs a period of dormancy, you will store it in bright sunlight this year in the coldest space you can manage. Anything above 0°F will be fine. In fifteen years of working with trees in shallow pots, I know of only one person who has claimed success with juniper indoors. That makes the odds against, about 1000-to-1

Next fall you will drain out the water feature and store it in a sheltered spot away from snow pack (but in sunlight).
