Picture attached?
I am new to bonsai gardening and since this tree was a gift from my mom, I would like it to be as healthy as possible.
I have attached a picture.
This is a tangerine bonsai.
These white distortions kept getting bigger and I am getting more and more nervous.
Is this a fungus? a disease?
Can I buy a cure?

loyamann123,
How sure are you of the Citrus identification? I ask because it sure looks like a Ficus to me. Have a look at the bark on the tree in this thread.

To verify, snip a leaf and look for a milky sap.

loyamann123,
I just tried on one of my Ficus and a drop of sap emerged from the cut stem that was attached to the plant. None was visible at the leaf end or when the leaf was cut in half.
Those marks are normal for a specific type of Ficus.

There is a lot of good information on that site and should be considered a must for any new Ficus grower.
