Tree of a thousand stars

I live in a flat in Halifax West Yorkshire and cannot put my bonsai outside will this do harm to the tree if kept indoors all the time.
I have noticed since I got it; every day leaves turn yellow and fall off and not just a few but about 20-30 am I doing anything wrong.
I water every day and feed once a week.
It is kept on my kitchen window cill which faces south to south west.

I hope there is someone that can help as this is my first time at keeping Bonsai :?

Serrissas like to be kept in moist soil. But if it is water everyday, depending on how much, I'd be worried about root rot. Try leaving it alone until the soil dries up a bit. Then soak it real well and leave it instead of watering every day.

Sometimes window cill isn't the best place for bonsais if the temperature varies a lot against the window. Also protect it from heater vents and drafts.
