fukien bonsai lost all its leaves!

My Fukien has lost all its leaves and it is only le august? they have all died and hae fallen off. I don't know if it is due to over or under watering? Or if it is time to repot or prune? Or if it is just going dormant? It has had beautil leaves and has been healthy for a long time and all of a sudden is sparse? any suggestions out there?

Scratch off a patch of bark. If its still green there may be hope. If not, its dead. Wait for someone else to give there advice before you throw it away, though.

IME, once the leaves are lost, you might as well consider it a crispy juniper, there's not likely to be any return.
