repotting fukien tea

hi everyone took some picture of my beautiful tree as I'm still worried about it. Was inspecting it last night and thought the soil didnt look right think this could be another reason for it dropping leaves. was thinking of repotting ,if this is not the problem will repotting it make it worse? I red that you don't trim the roots when repotting as the fukien tea dosent like it, is this true? does the soil you use have to be organic as cant find any bonsai soils that are. if this is the case can u use any organic soiL?

shona;
Your tree looks great. I wouldn't do anything other than what you're doing right now. A few leaves dropping can be expected. As long as the soil is draining well there is no need to repot now.

Here's some things I've learned about the plant:

They don't like to be moved.
They don't like drafts. this can cause leaf drop.
They don't like Having their roots disturbed. Root pruning is usaully not done on young trees (less than 7 years old).
They like organic based soil.
They like the soil damp, but not wet. do not let the soil dry out completely.
They like a nice bright location.
They like it warm.
Aphids are a threat. Watch for them on new tender growth. They can take a tree down in a matter of days.
They do not like pesticides.

If you have questions on any of the above I will be happy to To give details.

You have a healthy tree and you are taking good care of it, so don't worry too much..

Phil...
