poinsettia experiment

Here are a few pictures of a poinsettia that I'm thinking might be a fun bonsai one day. I started it out of pure boredom a month ago.
I got it home and clipped off a lot of old growth.. It budded out within a week. It produces leaves quickly. After the second set of leaves appeared I pinched off the newest leaves.This promotes branching and compact nodes in trees, so I'm hoping it will do the same for a poinsettia.
This spring I will re-pot it and let it grow for the summer. I'll remove all the unwanted growth and continue to pinch the terminal buds.
