Are these flowers on my eggplant plant?

Are these buds or something? Ive only had the plant for maybe...3-4 weeks...and Its grown from like...3 inches to 16 inches.

Yes, they are buds. I've never grown eggplant, so I can't tell you whether they are flower buds or leaf buds, but they are definitely one or the other. :)

leaf bud? never heard of it..is it all the fun of a bud without the flower or fruit?

The eggplants will grow out of those flower petals. Enjoy!

Don't get your finger too close to them at this stage. Many a novice gardener has been known to lose a finger when those buds are feeding!

They do look kinda evil.

I was at the grocery store and looked at the japanese eggpant. $3.50 each!

I bought my plant for $1.50!

I say its a good investment.

What I did with my eggplant blossoms was to pluck them. Once they form the flowers. I read somewhere that they are wind pollinated ( I forgot exactly what was said) Now, I have eggplant everywhere. BEWARE OF THE FLEA BEETLES!!!!! :evil:
