How to Keep Green Beans Fresh After Harvest
I only pick 5-10 beans at a time and they are not crisp after a day of being in the fridge. How can I keep them "snappy" fresh in the fridge until I have enough to cook? Any ideas??
My DH just today ordered me these containers:

But you could also try the green bags:

I have not used either product, but reviews on amazon are favorable.

The last time I grew green beans (late '80s, early '90s in Berkeley), I didn't get any of them into the kitchen...
They became...ah... "field snacks." Yep: I ate every one of them in the postage-stamp-sized back yard before even going back into the house.
I never had a "crispness" problem!
