Something is eating my cucumber flowers

Everytime I get flowers on my cucumber plant, they seem to disappear!!!! My cucumber plant is in a container and is setting on a deck high up so deer are not the problem. Do rodents eat flowers off of cucumbers? Help!!!! I am now worrying about my squash plants for they are now just beginning to bloom.

Believe it or not, some birds will eat the blossoms.Last year I saw a male cardinal eat a whole blossom in one gulp!Luckily,I had plenty of blossoms so it didn't harm the harvest.Although I do think the birds would mainly eat a blossom if an insect was in it.I saw robin two days ago pick a blossom, nibble on it,then dropped it.

A rodent could also eat blossoms, although I don't know since I haven't seen any rodents in my cukes...

Edit:Maybe to prevent any future eating of blossoms, put some sort of net over the plant.Hopefully others can offer help to prevent more blossoms form disappearing.
