I'm jealous you have such big plants and peppers already!
I discovered a long time ago that I can't rush the peppers here. They like hot temperatures. We get hot daytime temps but it's been dropping to 50s at night. Stays hot in the house all night but I can't bring all my peppers inside. So I must wait and be happy with small plants that only have the starts of small peppers.
When the overnights are warmer, I'm amazed at how much they grow and produce in a short time. True sun lovers they are. Next year I may try to keep some of the pepper plants under cover at night through the end of June.

I have a few different types.... I have Anehiem, Sandia, Cayenne, Serrano, Jalapeno and Habaneros ... and planted some Hungarian Wax seeds not too long ago. I also have green, red, and white onions, cilantro, a green pepper, basil and chives. Only thing I have to buy once I make my salsa is garlic and some lime juice... . darn now ive given out my famous homemade salsa ingredientsllll
I'm not sure how container peppers would do, my container bell pepper and habanero isnt too happy right now but if you can do it go for it! Container basil is doing very good tho...
It depends on how hot you like your salsa on which plants you want... I like em hot thats why I got 10-12 jalapenos and 5 habaneros, that way I wont risk being unable to have my salsa "perform"

Don't let him fool you folks, his salsa is terrible!
Haha, jk there Geoff, you know I love you bro. Can't wait to see the plants in person this evening and hopefully munch on some yummy homemade salsa. If you wake up tomorrow and all of your plants are dug up and gone, don't come looking for them at my house.

WHAT?!?!? You've never heard of rhubarb salsa??? Ive never made it but...
Ill be updating pics prob on friday, gardens doing awesome!
Actually that was a rhubarb plant my parents gave me last year and it never really did anything.... I forgot about it and planted my habaneros in a square around where it ended up coming back in full force, had to transplant my habaneros or they would have been taken out by the rhubarb...Rhubarb Salsa
Ingredients
25g/8oz Rhubarb, finely diced
1/2 Red Capsicum (Sweet Pepper), finely diced
1/2 Yellow Capsicum (Sweet Pepper), finely diced
2 tbsp Freshly chopped Coriander (Cilantro)
3 Spring Onions, chopped
1 Chilli Pepper, deseeded and finely chopped
2 tbsp Lime Juice
Brown Sugar, Salt and Pepper to taste
1. Blanch the rhubarb in boiling water for 10 seconds. Drain in a colander and refresh under cold running water. Drain again and place in a large mixing bowl.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Goes well with fish or chicken.

Thanks for the envy, I mean comments
I think that blue spot you are refering to had a cousin or brother or something, stayed over my house too, no rain here .... just a bit o sprinkle to make sure all the dust stuck VERY well to my car, so I guess I need to wash my car again too!
Thanks Rich, and yup the coolness was very helpful, cut my watering to only 2x during that short period I'm envious of the lucky people who have to water their garden less505zoom wrote:Wow everything grew a bunch over there this week. Looks good there Geoff!
Those few shady days we got really helped me thinks. Any rain over on that side of town?... it seems like the only blue spot in the sky has been right over my house all week. Guess I need to wash the car again, haha.
