What the usual pest that attacks heirloom green beans?

My poor leaves on my baby green beans look like it was hit by buck shot?

Any idea what bug is causing this and how I can prevent this? I don't want them to attack the new leaves.

Sounds like Mexican Bean Beetle to me.

See any of these buggers? How big are the holes?

Nope, they are pretty big holes, no beetles that I saw. At one time I saw these tiny little green bugs. Aphids?

I do have a lot of ants in my garden though.

Well you'd have to watch the ants to make a determination. A lot of ants are actually beneficial in gardens.

Anyway if you do find that the ants are the problem Cinnamon repels them.

Try planting some radishes around your beans as a "trap" crop for beetles and other critters. Just pull up and discard any diseased or damaged radishes.
