Anyone know what they and are and how to get rid of them? (aside from hand picking them off lol)

Thanks

That's the egg of some sort of insect, probably a butterfly or moth of some sort.

This is the fun part of organic gardening, you never know what you'll get growing in your garden but, the point is to have a balance of things that will eat your plants and thing that will eat the eaters. For now you can brush them off but, take a look at the beneficial insects thread in the permaculture forum and plant some flowers that will attract insect predators.
