Help: Seedlings being eaten

I am trying to grow vegetables for the first time with mixed results so far, one of the mistakes I've made is not making a note or labelling what has been planted where so I've got all sorts of things popping up but I'm not sure what is what, and I'm sure there are plenty of weeds amongst it all but I'm not sure what to remove. Also I planted out about 20 seedlings yesterday and about half of them have been eaten when I checked on them this evening. I am trying to grow things organically, is there anything I can do to protect the plants without having to resort to pesticides?

These are the plants that have been the most affected
Uneaten

Eaten

So firstly can anyone tell me what they are (I'm thinking broccoli but I'm not sure) and secondly anything I can do to protect them?

Also can anyone identify these?

Parsnip?

I'm new to gardening also, but it looks to me like either some sort of bug or rabbit has been eating at your first and second plants. If you don't have a fence around your garden already,I would suggest buying one.My fence is chicken wire and is 25 inches tall,so most rabbits shouldn't jump over it unless it's a super bunny.Other than investing in a good quality fence that would last many years,I don't know what else to say.Good luck with figuring out the culprit.

I have no idea what the first plant is,but the second one looks like chives to me.I planted chives about 2 years ago and I accidentally pulled it up not remembering it was chives and not grass.
