Corn Ears Are Brown?

Help!! Why are my corn ears brown?!

Corn is ready to pick about 10 days after the tassels appear. The silk looks dry. Did you wait too long? Peel back the ear and test the sap of the corn kernel if the sap is runny then it is o.k. If the sap is thick and milky, it may be past its' prime. Also unless you have a tight husk corn variety, corn ear worms can be inside eating the ear.
