Well we survived the holiday. 25 degrees and sunny here this morning. Nothing growing except ice. So I sit here and play on the computer. Maybe I should find one six inch pot and plant something in it and grow it in the window? Hmmmm, what should I plant?

So, what did everybody do with their leftovers?

This year, very last of the leftovers were turned into turkey pot pie — I took the easy way out and used frozen puff pastry topper.

Diced and mixed the turkey meat, broccoli, carrots, and last baked potato with white butter roux and kefir seasoned with a bit of crumbled sage and my chili powder. Filled a buttered pie dish and topped with the last of mashed potatoes and baked until bubbbling, then topped with the puff pastry, dotted with hot pepper jelly and brushed with half and half, and baked according to directions.

The question was: " Hmmmm, what should I plant?" Had nothing to do with leftovers!
