Plant Identification

I recently moved into a new house. I have this plant growing everywhere. It seems to spread from the root. I have silverfish leaves and has small purple flowers that resemble thistle blooms. This is a picture I pulled off the web it looks like it.

I don't know what it is.
If you did not plant it and do not want it, jerk it out by the roots and toss it in the garbage can.
