Persian Melons

Edisto47Melon.jpg
Hello everyone.
I was hoping to get some help from gardening experts on this forum.
I have been a resident of Southern California my whole life. In the 50s & 60s the supermarkets used to carry melons called a "Persian melon". I have been wanting to try growing this type but I can't find seeds for it. The closest thing I remember it looking like was the "Edisto 47" cantaloupe offered by Eden Bros. seeds(picture). At least the skin was somewhat like it but it was more of a longer, rounded shape, maybe a 2:1 ratio. Does anyone remember these and know the proper name or where to acquire seeds? Several natives here remember them by that name

Thanks

Don't have time to go get links, etc. but saw in their paper catalog. Try Top Mark melon at Southern Exposure Seed Exchange and read the description.
