Sugar snap(bush) thought

I currently am germinating sugar snap peas indoors and am 2 days away from planting. Its is the 1st time growing them as this is my 2 yr vegetable gardening. My soil still contains a bit of yellowish orange clay, drainage is moderate. I was wondering if anyone would share their success in growing sugar snaps.

I have a rich humusy soil that is sand based and grow snap peas every year with great success. I live in zone 7b and don't have any problems and just plant them in the soil after the last frost.

To ammend your clay soil add lots and lots of organic matter in the form of mulched leaves, manure and coffee grounds as well as broken up sticks and perhaps some blood meal. Do this in layers in the fall, alternating betwen leaves/sticks and on the other implements I mentioned above. Also, you can add some sand if you like.
