4 degrees lettuce is doing better, some plants died.

4 degree weather last week killed my, broccoli, kale, peas. Beets, chard and lettuce were just setting there doing nothing. I cannot find any beets or chard so I assume they are gone. Onion seeds were doing nothing too. I was enjoying kale salad every day with dinner. Broccoli was starting to make small heads. Lettuce is doing better it grew 5" taller. Herbs appear to be doing good. Some of the onion seeds grew 6" tall I planted them months ago. Onions and garlic that were already growing have not changed. Carrot seeds will grow when weather gets right I have grown carrots before they should be coming up soon..

4 degrees? Ya that is cool enough to make most plants want to quit. Carrots? Seems they are slow to come no matter when I plant them. Takes three weeks to see them. Here at 3:00 PM its 14 degrees F. Not a thing growing but ice. Have fun!
