I'm so excited about this year's squash harvest. Butternut, Buttercup, and Blue Hubbard. This is the first year I've had enough room to grow Blue Hubbard for about 25 years. Can't wait to taste them.

many of my squash were on the small side this year, but it's the beginning of a breeding project, and many seemed to be very susceptible to powdery mildew. in a few years I may get it to the point where I can just plant and stand back, we'll see. some have decent resistance, just gotta pick'n'choose the right ones.
yours look great.

Maybe a trellis on the side of your house, the vines go up then down, then up again, down again, and finally up over the roof and down the other side? Or up the trees?imafan26 wrote:Really nice. I wish I had the space to grow them, unfortunately the vines would take over my yard and then try to take over the neighbors'.
My hubbard went across the garden up the fence, then along the fence 3 feet off the ground with a cute little blue hubbard on there til finally the frost came!
