Potato problem

Hello. My pants were healthy as of last week (July 26) and started to develop these spots and yellow leaves. Over 2/3 of the plants are now affected to various degrees, I have removed 5 plants already and the potatoes are small but fine. I am in zone 4b. Is this early blight? iIf so, what should I do? It has been very hot and humid over the last 2 weeks. Pictures were taken August 4. Thanks for any help.

All those holes in the leaves look like insect damage. Have you checked closely for insects?

Some things we can do when planting potatoes to help with these problems.

1. Always buy certified potatoes from a seed supplier. (certified disease free)
2. Plant 2 or three varieties, and don't plant them together, but one here and another over there so they have their own space.
3. Plant potatoes where there was not potatoes grown last year. To avoid disease.
4. Watch for insect damage and perhaps sprinkle with some Diatomaceous Earth.
5. They respond to some good NPK fertilizer.
6. Keep them watered.
7. Full sunshine.
