Can someone help.....What's growing on the leaves of my plan

There are these small either white or yellow raised spots building up under the leaves of a plant, in a pot, outside. It's still growing new branches and leaves but I'm noticing theses pods/spots take over the plant, starting to yellow now. I've researched possible solutions online and can't find anything similar. I also noticed thetes a lot of ants and flies on the plant, wondering if the spots are eggs of some fly. It's an important plant to me, given to me by my grandma, please help. I'll try posting a pic

WHAT is the plant?

Generally speaking, if the plant is ailing or under stress, pest bugs will be attracted to it.
