My zucchini plant seemed to be doing well, growing big sprouting many flowers with the vegetable coming after but now my plant seems to be having some issues. The small zucchini that were growing have turned yellow, the flowers have turned brown and dried up and the end of the zucc is black I'm not sure if this is a pollination issue or I'm over or under watering them. I live in southern california and it has been at least 100 degrees here everyday for the past few weeks , so I have been watering them everyday till the soil is moist.
My squash plant on the other hand never seemed to be that happy (yellow leaves) but recently has taken a turn for the worse and one of the whole stems has drooped and is now pretty much laying on the soil
Any advice is very appreciated! TIA!

Squash and zucchini are large plants. The vines may go form four to ten feet long and the root systems will go three to five feet deep and as wide as the foliage. If you have a spot in the yard where you can plant squash in 'ol Mother Earth', you will do much better. I cannot imagine a squash doing much in a container. Sorry. (Oh, and full sun if possible.)
