Is this edible?

I was seeding zucchini and squash with little children among many other children. I am not sure if somebody spilled seeds or not. We were working on keyhole garden that has compost in the middle so ot could be spmething from a compost, I just do not know.

Wait awhile and see what it becomes. Some zucchini are round but so are other kinds of squash. I am leaning toward another kind of squash.

It could well be a volunteer from something that grew last season. Volunteer squash seldom look like the parent. They are
however edible and sometimes very good. Squash will also cross with gourds and no telling what that fruit may taste like?
You can pick that while young and tender and make a stir fry, or let it go and see what it turns into? If you don't want the
risk, pull the whole thing and make compost. It is not too late to plant some more squash or cucumbers.

Thank you. I think I may just pick the biggest one and fry him a little. I will have my husband try it first.

So I cut the biggest squash and cooked it today. It tasted very good! So I will keep them all.
