Zucchini issue

Has anyone else had an issue with all male zucchini plants? I have three that are all male, for over a month not one female? Is it a loss? New to zucchini

What variety is it? Where did you get the seeds?

I'll have to see when I get home, this one was not done by seed, transplanted into a large container. I did keep the info though so I'll check soon

This is a common complaint. The first flowers are usually male. Be patient.

That is true, but over a month seems extreme....?

I read if the environment is too cold or too hot, the zucchini will not flower properly. Zucchini will put out male flowers first until it fully matures, then the female flowers start coming. I used to get better fruiting but I was advised to plant more than one plant for better polination. This time I am going back to pic-n-pic yellow crookneck squash, I had better luck with that one before and it is similar to zucchini in use.

I would not yank it just yet. It may put on some female flowers.

I should go plant some. My first planting did not come up.
