Yippeee....my ginger is coming up at last

a few weeks ago, I posted about getting pieces of ginger at the store and planting them...

the consensus was....it can be done...so I did it...

I had almost given up on success when I went out this morning and I have 3 ginger shoots coming up in one of my containers....it is one in which I also have black beauty eggplants

not big enough to photo yet...but I will

anyway....we're off....let's see how they do

Good for you. The ginger I planted is still not up but the ginger I put in a bucket to eat is, so I am transplanting them into the ginger container. I dug under the soil and the rhyzomes are still intact, I may have buried them too deep. Oh, well, I guess I can dig them up later and eat them.
