Why are some of my squash blooms deformed?

Is that normal or is it something that I have done to cause them to form that way? It looks as if it's only the female blooms that are doing it.

I think some seeds have bad DNA just like some people have bad DNA.

Are these after they were pollinated and petal(s) had fallen off?

I'm not sure what you are pointing out as deformity -- could you explain?

At first I thought this may have been an issue with pollination. Maybe incomplete pollination, but I'm not quite sure. There's definite deformation of the actual flower. Weird. I feel like I've seen this before though, in my own garden, and I wanna chalk it up to environmental factors. Like I saw one like that midseason, then normal production before and after.

Are these the first off the plants?

Can you show us the rest of the plant, and tell us where you're growing? What area are you from?

they are the 1st female blooms off the squash.

I think your plants are going to outgrow this. I see normal female flowering fruits on both of the plants! Your beds look BEAUTIFULLY WEED FREE! I like your mulch! You're plants look nice and healthy, as well.

I'm pretty sure this has happened here before. Almost like a leaf stalk and a femal flower fused.

Yeah it's hay. We have a bunch of horses at work so I just grab a bale or two when I need it

I didn't grow them from seed. Just got the Bonnie plants. I think next year I'll try and grow them from seed.

Yeah I have bees in the garden I was chasing one down from bloom to bloom hoping to get a picture but.... The little guy wouldn't stay put long enough.

I planted squash and cukes about 8 days ago then it rained for four days, and nothing has came up. I could be replanting too. I am wondering if the seed rotted. Such is gardening. always a new experiment. No telling what the weather will do, nor what pests the wind will blow in.

Well I meant I might try doing my fall garden from seed but I have some extra space in the garden so I'm going plant some cucumbers

needless to say some of my squash are still growing strange.
Right now they want to keep growing but don't seem to want to bloom.

I looked that up and I actually think half of my plants have that! I'm about to ride over to the garden to check it out and get a up to date pictures of everything. I sure hope I'm over reacting!!!!

Ok so long story with my peppers kinda. The frame to the bed needed to replaced and I decided not to plant the peppers till it was. Well it took the guys at work a month to get around to doing it. The peppers I had bought I placed in the shade for that whole time. I was so happy when they got the bed frame rebuilt I didn't consider factor till the next day after the leaves was already burnt.
The peppers also came from Bonnie plant company and I ended up replacing a few of them. The one that looks really yellow is a sweet banana and it's one I didn't replace. The peppers I pick are Habanero and I'm not sure if the y look that way bc I picked them early or not.

All of my squash came from Bonnie plant company except for the pattypan. I got the seed of of Amazon

Grew from seed.
Got the seed from of a company call Stonysoil seed company
It's is also hairloom seed.

Haha I know I have something eat them also. Trying to figure out it is.
