Potatoe planting, cutting eyes, and time

Ive only grown potatoes once, and it was in michigan. I'm now in western north dakota.

Long story short It was super nice, I bought russet potatoes, cut them into eyes, and let them sit and scab over.

Bad part of the story, is we had 3 days of rain/snow, they now have sat inside scabbed over for a week probably and the scab parts are looking moldy... (sad face)

Will they bounce back if I plant them tmrw or do I need to toss them into garbage and run to store and buy another 5 pound bag, and start over?

Go plant them!

Dad used to cut potatoes with two eyes per piece and go plant them immediately.

I would be a little leery planting potatoes from the grocery store. It is best to get some certified disease free potatoes from a garden supply house.

These were potatoes you buy at menards in a bag

Thats what I was referring to about buying more at menards if they will not be ok if the scab where I cut them into pieces looks moldy

I don't think that mold you are seeing will matter. Go plant them!
