Ants in the Squash flowers

Hi all,
I have a large number of small ants in my squash & cantaloupe flowers. Is this something I should be worried about or just leave them alone. I understand that they do not pollinate, but will they cause any harm?

Happens all the time to me, doesn't cause any issues.

Ants alone are no problem, but sometimes where there are ants there are aphids as well. The ants eat the sweet secretions from the aphids. Check the underside of the leaves for aphids, if there are none you should be all clear.

Ants help to open flowers like peonys I don't know if its because they eat the sugars in there releasing the petals. Maybe its for a similar reason they are in your flowers?

Ants are your friends they eat mites and lots of micro small bugs that are bad for plants.

Thanks for the help. I'll leave the ants alone.

As long as they aren't fire ants-you're ok.
