Dry climate and Ollas

Just watched a few YouTube videos on making and using Ollas for watering. Do any of you currently use this technique? Sounds like a great way to conserve water while still providing even irrigation.

I use ollas in my garden - am still implementing them across various places. I've found it works well especially since I work in retail and my hours can make it hard to water regularly.

I use gorilla glue to attach a terracotta pot and saucer together, and then put a length of irrigation tube into the drainage hole and glue it in place. That way I can bury the whole thing and mulch around it, then when I want to fill it up I stick a funnel in the tube and pour water into it through that.
